They came in with the energy of a hurricane.
The doors whirled open as a gust of wind swept up the place, napkins flying.
The two men did not move.
“You endanger them by conscripting them in our mission,” Marcus Ambruge continued to ignore the crash of footsteps, the bellow of voices and grunts.
Eros did not waver in his gaze, “I wouldn’t know the extent of the danger since you won’t tell me all there is to know. Besides, they’re Guardians of the highest orders as we are. More hands on board”-
            “There is nothing to know.”
            The footsteps grew louder.
“The gods may have blessed you Marcus Ambruge but you think I can’t sense when you lie and omit details pertinent to this mission,” Eros slid out of the booth, rising to meet the cacophony of noise as it assaulted them.
“Eros!” roared a teenager in a black string singlet revealing tanned skin covered in tattoos. His raven hair swayed on an invisible breeze, feathers flapping on his shoulders, his black eyes alight.
            “Enda.”
The two embraced, with a clap on the shoulder.
“Rover,” Eros clapped a shorter more squat man with stubble who was built like a boulder.
“Annandale,” Eros clapped the third on the shoulder, a giant man who seemed to hang back from the rest. He replied with a grunt.

One by one they each turned to Marcus Ambruge, sizing him up; weary as he rose out of the booth, dwarfing all of them with his aura.
